Singel flower market in Amsterdam poster

Amsterdam poster, tulips at the Singel flower market

The stalls of the floating Singel flower market overflow with red, yellow and pink tulips on this Amsterdam poster. Along the canal, narrow gabled houses line up their dark facades, and the Munttoren tower rises above the rooftops. The water reflects both the flowers and the facades, doubling the colors of the scene. The contrast between the burst of flowers and the restrained architecture gives the image its vividness. The title “AMSTERDAM” appears in an illustrated travel poster style.

Amsterdam tulips to brighten a room

Its touches of red, yellow and pink bring color to a kitchen, a bedroom, a living room or an entryway. In portrait format, it fits nicely near a window or on a narrow wall. It pairs well with a vase of fresh flowers, dark wood, blue and white ceramics and white walls. Next to other flower posters or posters of northern cities, it makes a springtime wall. A gift for a garden enthusiast, a traveler or a friend who dreams of seeing the tulips in April.
